Boards are the ultimate pillar of leadership in companies. My work in this field dates back to my PhD research, and over the years, I have continued to research, teach, and consult on governance and board-related topics. Beyond academia, I have also served as a board member myself, giving me first-hand insight into the challenges of real-world corporate governance.
In my governance work, I collaborate with leaders to enhance board effectiveness, drive best practices, and align governance structures with strategic business goals. My experience spans executive education, advising on board composition and performance, and supporting companies as they navigate governance challenges.
Beyond Compliance: Governance as a Driver of Business Success
Strong corporate governance is more critical than ever. In today’s rapidly evolving business environment, boards must go beyond traditional financial oversight and risk management. They need to address complex strategic decisions, regulatory scrutiny, cybersecurity threats, shareholder activism, and sustainability challenges—all while fostering long-term value creation for stakeholders.
Recognizing the need for a specialized governance advisory firm, I launched Odgers Berndtson Board Solutions, combining my expertise with the global capabilities of Odgers Berndtson, a multinational firm with over 50 years of experience in leadership, search, and board advisory. We are dedicated to improving corporate governance by helping boards adopt best practices that prepare them for present and future challenges. Board Solutions supports organizations through independent board assessments, board search and succession, governance consulting, and advisory board structuring.
Corporate governance is not just about compliance—it is about building high-performing boards that contribute to an organization’s long-term success.
